Est. 2026
We're a casual group here in Heritage Oaks, dedicated to the studying, understanding and tasting (of course!) of wine from all over the world. Once every six weeks we gather at the Heritage Oaks Clubhouse, open a half dozen bottles around a theme paired with some great food, and talk about what we discovered. No expertise required — curiosity is the only prerequisite.
We gather at the Heritage Oaks Clubhouse, so there is no host rotation and no one has to open up their home. Tastings start at 6:00 PM.
One region, one grape, or one question — Rioja, or "under $20," or "which Cabernet actually tastes like the price tag." The theme goes out ahead of time so you can read up.
The group buys the wine — a flight of five or six bottles, each poured with a food pairing chosen to match it. There's a per-person cost at the door, which changes from tasting to tasting depending on the wines selected; the amount goes out with each announcement. All you need to bring is your own wine glass.
We each vote on which wine we liked the best. The group is building a running record of what's worth buying again. Every past night is written up under Tastings & Materials.
Thanksgiving dinner is the hardest meal of the year to match to a single bottle — turkey, stuffing, cranberry and sweet potato all pull in different directions. We'll taste our way through what actually works, in good time for you to buy for the table.
Wines, cost and the reservation deadline go out by email.
New neighbors are always welcome — there's no cap on membership. Seating at each tasting is limited, though, so it's worth reserving early.
To be added, send us a message and tell us which street you're on. We'll send you the details for the next tasting.
Where we meet: every tasting is at the Heritage Oaks Clubhouse, 4611 Verde Vista, Georgetown, TX 78633, starting at 6:00 PM. Same place every time.
A note on privacy: we don't publish member names, home addresses, or photos of anyone without asking first.
